Votorantim's Trainee Program had a record number of entries this year: 26,109 young people, 6,000 more than in 2011.
Of these, more than 9,000 candidates were selected for the online stage, during which logical reasoning and english tests are conducted, and the business game on adherence to Votorantim's Values and Management Beliefs is carried out.
The program is currently in the regional selection stage, and about 1,400 young people are expected to be assessed in the cities of São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Recife, and Salvador.
The Trainee Program lasts 18 months, and is scheduled to start in January 2013. When joining Votorantim, trainees take part in the "Potenciar" (Potentiate) Program, developed especially to train young talents at the Votorantim Academy of Excellence, addressing their professional, personal, cultural, and social dimensions.
The Academy of Excellence is a Votorantim reference center for training Votorantim Leaders and Professionals; it develops personal and managerial skills, works on improving the employees' technical abilities, and is one of the main tools supporting the implementation of the organization's strategies.
